“The Bridge” is yet another one of Cathay Pacific’s six outstanding lounges in the Hong Kong airport. While there isn’t anything that quite makes this lounge unique, everything about this lounge (the relaxing decor, the variety of tasty food and the beautiful showers) area all done very very well.
“Join us at The Bridge, our warm and welcoming lounge where everything has been designed with your comfort in mind. Try our tasty Bistro fare, hot breads from the Bakery, or a drink from the Coffee Loft.”

Location
The lounge at Hong Kong airport (HKG) is located in Terminal 1, Level 6 (departures level), by gate 36/37. It is actually at the crux where the terminal splits into two different paths. After security continue walking straight through the terminal, following the signs.
There is no first class lounge, only a business class lounge.

Entrance
The entrance is rather unique in that it is completely open and almost looks like a boarding gate. I actually missed the entrance the first time because I was looking by gates 36 or 37 as other sites had mentioned. It’s literally straight ahead through the terminal. Look for the massive sign.
Take the escalators down to the main entrance,
You can either head to the right for The Bakery and The Long bar, or to the left for The Bistro, The Coffee Loft, business center and showers.
Decor
The inside resembles a modern residential apartment. There are various patterns of cozy chairs with scattered lamps and thoughtful decor. I thought the light fixtures were pretty cool.
There was plenty of seating, especially considering there are two entire wings.
The Long Bar, as always, was beautiful with nice views of the tarmac.
Food and Drink
The food and drink was very good. Much better than what was offered at The Wing, but not quite as good as at the Qantas Lounge also at the Hong Kong airport (HKG). Additionally, the main dining area is at The Bakery.
There was a wide selection of Asian as well as international food. While not especially gourmet, everything looked well made. I tried as many items as I could for this lounge review! While you can’t always judge food based on looks, I’ve found more often than not, lounge food that doesn’t even look appetizing probably tastes even worse.
The food ranged from fresh salad ingredients to wontons and noodles, chicken curry, various pastries and desserts. The only thing that I tried in this lounge review that wasn’t good was the pizza. You would think it’s hard to screw that one up right? My favorite was the chicken curry and Jess was partial toward the creme brulee.
The other side of the lounge had The Bistro which to be honest had almost identical food. There was perhaps a smaller selection of breads and pastries, but it was very similar.
The Coffee Loft was just past The Bistro.
Showers and Restrooms
The showers and restrooms were beautiful and well maintained. No issues for this lounge review.
Extras
The wifi worked with no issues while I was there for this lounge review.
Lounge Review Conclusion
The Bridge is yet another one of Cathay Pacific’s six outstanding lounges in the Hong Kong airport. I would say the quality of the food is above The Wing, and close to what is offered at The Pier and the Qantas lounge. While there isn’t anything that quite makes this lounge unique, everything about this lounge (the relaxing decor, the variety of tasty food and the beautiful showers) are all done very very well.
