The Conrad Hong Kong is a luxury high rise hotel located on Hong Kong island just above the Pacific Place shopping center. It is conveniently located in the heart of downtown, just a few minutes walk to the Admiralty MTR station.
The decor was beautiful and classy with live flower arrangements changed daily. The property offers stunning views of both Victoria Harbor and Victoria Peak. One thing notable for this review was the exceptional the breakfast buffet.

Where to Stay in Hong Kong
Hong Kong is well known for having some of the most expensive property values in the world. Therefore it’s no surprise that hotels on the island (and even the nearby Mongkok) are quite pricey.
Hotels range from about $100 USD per night for low level accommodation, to $200 USD for mid level and then $300-$400+ USD for luxury hotels such as The Conrad Hong Kong, Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, Landmark Mandarin Oriental and Grand Hyatt. Airbnbs range from about $80 per night depending on location.
How We Booked
Conrad is one of the most luxurious hotel brands in the Hilton portfolio (along with Waldorf Astoria). I had two free weekend certificates from the (now discontinued) Citi Hilton Honors Reserve credit card. This offered the perfect opportunity to use my free weekend certificates at a high level property in one of the most expensive cities in the world.
Check-In
Upon arrival, we were welcomed by very friendly staff members in the main lobby. The lobby was simply massive. I especially loved the central chandelier and flower arrangement that was changed daily. No issues during checking for this review.
The check-in process was very efficient and quick. The attendant acknowledged Brandon’s Diamond status and noted that it included a room upgrade, free Wi-Fi, Executive Club Lounge access (daily breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktail hour) and free daily breakfast buffet at the Garden Cafe.
We were pleased to be upgraded to a King Executive Peak Suite. The rate for that room was over $800 a night!
The King Executive Peak Suite
The King Executive Peak Suite is a two room suite with 753 sqft (70 sqm) of space. This particular room was at the end of the hallway on the 58th floor, on the Victoria Peak Side. Across from us on the harbor side was a King Executive Harbor Suite.
Our bedroom was spacious offering beautiful views of Victoria Peak.
The bedroom and living area were connected by a hallway, which was almost large enough to be considered a third room. Each room had a large flat screen TV. The living room had plenty of seating, a work station and partial views of Victoria Harbor.
Fresh fruit and desserts were complimentary as a welcome gift. I’m not sure if it was because of Brandon’s Diamond status, or if it comes with the King Executive Peak Suite. But either way, you bet those chocolates were gone by nighttime!
There were two bathrooms, which was nice, so Brandon and I could get ready at the same time. He can be a shower hog 😉 The main bathroom offered a stand up shower, adjacent bathtub and double sinks. 
The toiletries and amenities, like most Conrad hotels, are from Aromatherapy associates. 
Executive Club Lounge
Access to the Executive Club Lounge is for Hilton Diamond members or guests staying on one of the “executive” floors. We had access through the King Executive Peak Suite and Brandon’s Hilton Honors Diamond status.
The lounge is located on the 59th floor with beautiful views of Victoria Harbor and Kowloon. 
If you stay a little past the evening cocktail hours, you’ll be treated to an amazing view of the sunset and Kowloon at night. 
The Executive Club Lounge actually consists of four very large rooms with comfortable seating. We had no problem being seated at any time of the day. It is a bit fuller in the mornings and evenings for breakfast and cocktails, but we never had to wait. 
While guests with access could enter at any time of day for basic refreshments and small snacks, there was a more extensive selection at certain times of the day.
Breakfast from 630am-11am.
Afternoon tea from 3pm-5pm.
Evening cocktails and food from 5pm-7pm.
The food and drink selection was very impressive. Breakfast was similar to what was offered at the Garden Cafe Restaurant breakfast buffet, which is a good thing. See below for my rave review of the breakfast buffet. Afternoon tea had about what you would expect with various teas, coffee, crackers, cheese and biscuits.
The evening cocktails and food selection was phenomenal. We were so excited we forgot to take a picture of the menu! But there were multiple choices of local and imported beers, wines, cocktails and whisky. While the food wasn’t quite as good as true restaurant food, it was wonderful for an executive hotel lounge. We were so full by the end that we skipped dinner!
Breakfast Buffet at Garden Café Restaurant
The Garden Cafe has both indoor and outdoor terrace seating for over 200 people. The breakfast buffet was complimentary for those with Hilton Honors Diamond status, or if you are staying on one of the “Executive” floors with Executive Club Lounge access. Otherwise it would have cost about $40-$50 USD per person.
This buffet breakfast was simply amazing. There was an extensive selection of local and international food, all made from high quality. fresh ingredients. Rather than list everything in this review I’ll point out a few highlights and then show the rest in pictures.
We especially loved the fresh exotic fruit (papaya, dragon fruit), made to order noodle station and made to order omelette station. For those health conscious folks, including myself, they could make an egg white omelette on request. There was even a gluten free bread section!
Amenities
When traveling, Brandon and I always try to keep up on our workouts (sometimes more successfully than other times). With the jetlag we were up at 5am every morning so this made a perfect time to get a workout in before breakfast and starting the day.
The gym is located one level below the lobby. While small in size, it was very nice for what it had to offer. There was quite a bit of equipment compared to most hotel gyms, including multiple treadmills, ellipticals, free weights going up to 25kg, and Brandon’s favorite a bench press/squat rack.
While we didn’t actually use the pool (we were too busy!), it looked relaxing, with views of the city and partial views of Victoria Harbor. The pool is located on the first floor by the Garden Cafe. Since the Conrad Hong Kong is up on a hill, the views were better than you would expect for being on the ground level.
Getting to Conrad Hong Kong
If traveling on the MTR Red Line or “Tsuen Wan Line”, exit at the Admiralty station. Follow the frequent and sometimes slightly confusing signage toward Pacific Place/Conrad. It’s about a 10-minute walk through The Pacific Place shopping mall.
If traveling from the airport you can either take the Airport Express, or a taxi/uber.
The Airport Express takes about 20 minutes and costs about $15 USD. It will take you to Hong Kong Station on Hong Kong Island. From there it’s probably easiest to take a quick taxi ride to the Conrad. Alternatively a complimentary shuttle bus will drop you off at Central MTR station. From there it’s one stop to the Admiralty station.
For those less inclined to use public transport, both uber and taxi can take you directly to Conrad Hong Kong. From the airport it’s about a 40 minute drive and costs approximately$50 USD.
Hotel Review Conclusion
The only way to describe the Conrad Hong Kong is perfection.
The stunning lobby entrance with a massive chandelier and floor to ceiling marble pillars, the easy check-in with helpful staff, a massive suite with a thoughtful welcome gift, the incredible breakfast buffet and Executive Club Lounge with beautiful views.
Even the location is ideal. Being connected to The Pacific Place shopping mall, it was an easy walk to shopping, dining, and the Admiralty MTR station. In the heart of downtown it was a short trip to Central, Lan Kwai Fong, Wan Chai, The Peak, the Pier, Hong Kong Park, and pretty much anything else Hong Kong has to offer.
We simply loved being able to review the King Executive Peak Suite. It was beautifully done with plenty of space and great views of Victoria Peak. While it would have been nice to have a full view of Victoria harbor, you can’t complain about an upgrade, and the Executive Club Lounge actually had the best views of the harbor.
We were very sad to leave our stay at the Conrad Hong Kong, but highly recommend it and would stay again when we return!
